Advanced Level
Who is this intended for?
The Advanced course is intended for mature believers with a good understanding of the Bible and foundational doctrine, who would like to develop their teaching and pastoral gifts for ministries, such as:
-
Eldership and pastoral ministry
-
Preaching
-
Leading midweek Bible studies or devotions
-
Leading home group discussions
-
Women teaching or providing pastoral care for other women.
It should be clarified that for those considering pastoral ministry (full time or part time), we'd see this only as an introduction, and we'd encourage such people to enter into more formal training.

While this course is not intended to be overly academic, and is intended to be accessible to people who have not been through higher education, students would be expected to spend time reading from some key reference books, and to commit to a level of self-study. The level can be adjusted by those who run the hub, but it would typically be around 3 hours per week.

Modules
The Advanced modules are curated from a wide variety of sources, and managed within an online learning platform. The modules are organised into 3 themes:
-
Theological
-
Pastoral
-
Exegetical
While the Foundation course is best approached by taking one module per term, we recommend that the Advanced course is approached by taking one module in each theme for one term. To enable this, the modules are shorter (each module being expected to consist, typically, of 3 units, which would typically take 3 weeks). So a term could consist of 3 weeks focused on a theological module, 3 weeks focused on a pastoral module, 3 weeks focused on an exegetical module ... spread over a total of a 12-week period.
